Why '32'? Well, we're based in Belgium. It's also a cool number: 32 is Germanium in the periodic table - a strategic raw material for the EU and others. In numerology, it reflects strong communication skills, which is essential in our practice of articulating complex ideas.
About
Meet Peter Handley
Peter has a professional background in the European Commission and in the UK Civil Service. With expertise in strategy, communication, management and international relations, Peter advises clients on their sustainability and resilience challenges and develops strategies suiting their individual needs.
Peter was the head of unit and deputy director in DG GROW responsible for critical raw materials (CRMs) and energy-intensive industries. He led the work on the EU Critical Raw Materials Act and negotiated the EU's strategic partnerships on CRMs. Previously, he worked in the Secretariat General as head of policy coordination for the Energy Union and Circular Economy. As an EU trade negotiator, he worked on WTO industrial market access (tariff and non-tariff barriers) and on steel trade issues.
Peter's activities comply with Commission Decision 29.6.2018 on occupational activities after leaving the Service.
